They are your neighbors, colleagues, teachers, and friends. Families just like yours, working hard to make ends meet, making tough choices for their children. Life isn’t always predictable. When unexpected crises strike, it’s crucial to have support to keep children in consistent, uninterrupted care and learning.

Meet Delanie and Nikole

Nikole's 10 yr old daughter was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma in August 2025. Her little sister attends Children of America. Nikole is a single mother and having to stay home with my daughter for chemotherapy treatments and care, as well as school her from home. She could not receive disability as she was not the patient. This left her with a lack of income, struggling to pay bills. The Pryor Family helped Nikole with her car payment, rent, provided mental health resources, and an outing for her kids to enjoy.

Meet Ashser

1 year old Ashser and his mother, Angel, faced extreme hardship after fleeing an unsafe situation. They experienced periods of unstable housing, with nights spent sleeping in their car and in domestic violence shelters just to keep Ashser safe. Angel was trying to secure a future but was blocked by housing instability. Ashser's safety and well-being were at risk every single day. The Pryor Family Foundation stepped in by paying the fee to transfer Angel's real estate license, securing her income, and then provided safe, stable housing while she waited to be approved for a permanent home. Once she was approved, we covered the security deposit and first month's rent. Angel and Ashser are now in a safe, stable home, and Angel can focus on her career, all while prioritizing Ashser's education.

Meet Paris

Miss Paris was a beloved team member at one of our partner schools, where she had worked since 2024. She was a kind soul who visited every classroom, greeting children and connecting with teachers. Tragedy struck when Miss Paris passed away unexpectedly, just one day after her shift. Her grieving family was left with the sudden and immense financial hardship of covering her funeral costs. The "No Child Left Behind" Connection: Miss Paris’s warmth and dedication were a critical part of the school's nurturing environment. A loss so great impacts the entire school community, from the children who miss her daily greeting to her colleagues. We believe in supporting our entire school family, especially in times of tragedy. We were able to provide support for her funeral services, and offer mental health assistance to her grieving mother and sister. Giving the her family space to grieve without the immediate, crushing burden of funeral costs allowed our community to honor the legacy of a hardworking, dependable, and caring woman who was family to us all.

Meet April

April, a hardworking pharmacy tech and mom at one of our partner schools, lives paycheck to paycheck to provide for her son. After a long shift, a car accident left her car undrivable and her son's car seat damaged. She faced an impossible choice: fix the car to get to work or pay for childcare. Without a safe car seat, she couldn't even transport her son. Her son's stability was at immediate risk. Your support through our Rapid Response program stepped in, covering the car repair deductible and a new car seat. Your generosity removed the barrier. April kept working, and her son's safe, stable routine at school was never interrupted.

Dedicated Teacher

A dedicated teacher at our partner school for over 9 years, her sister has been the bus driver for more than 6. They're part of our community working hard to support their children, who are also in our care. But suddenly, her husband lost his job. Months of job hunting followed, and they fell behind on rent, facing eviction. They were forced to choose between paying their mortgage or keeping their children in childcare and education. With nowhere else to turn, they found support through The Pryor Family Foundation. We stepped in to help them catch up, support their job search, and ensure their kids stayed in stable, uninterrupted learning. Because no family should have to face life's unexpected hardships alone. We're here every day for families like yours.

The Tragic Loss

Life can change in a heartbeat. A father unexpectedly passed away in a car accident, leaving his widow to care for four young children. She must stay strong, keep them in childcare, and navigate griefâ€”all while trying to stabilize their future. This widow's strength and your support help her keep her children in consistent care, providing the stability they need to heal and thrive. Because no family should face tragedy alone.

Resilient Mother

A mother fleeing an abusive relationship, starting over as a real estate agent, balancing work, childcare, and stability for her children. Her courage to restart after leaving an unsafe situation is incredible. Support from our community helps her build a new life so her children can have security, stability, and a future full of promise.

Extended Family

A family with three children, recently taking in their niece, and living with their dad, but an unexpected house fire forces them to start over. Life can change in a flash. This family welcomed a niece into their home and faced a devastating fire that destroyed everything. Yet, they persevere, knowing their children's futures depend on stability and support. A couple trying to conceive, suffering a stillbirth, facing funeral costs and mental health challenges, feeling overwhelmed about childcare costs.
